San Marco Museum

The museum located in the ex Dominican convent of San Marco dating back to 1436, a site that was the focal point of religion and culture of Florence. Today the museum is renowned especially for its wall-paintings done by Beato Angelico, in the 400’s and his paintings that only reached the museum in the 900’s. There is also interesting examples of paintings done in the sixteenth-century, as witnessed by the numerous works of “Fra Bartolomeo”.
