Museums of the Medici Chapels

Located on one side of the San Lorenzo Basilica, at one stage the Medici Parish and a burial place for the family members starting from the 400’s, the museum is renowned in particular by the presence of the Giuliano tombs and Lorenzo de’ Medici, created by Michelangelo himself also called “Sagrestia Nuova” an architectural work of art and renaissance sculpture.
