The Palatina Gallery and the royal rooms, situated on the noble side of the palace, on the right wing, obviously the Medici were the first to use these rooms, then the Lorena’s and then the Savoia’s.
In the halls an extraordinary array of paintings comprised in particular of art works from the 500’s and 600’s and hung up according to the seventeenth century style “encrustation” where the walls covered with paintings be it horizontally or vertically. Amongst the authors represented Raffaello, Tiziano, Caravaggio, Rubens, and Pietro da Cortona.
